Isidra is from Ozamis City, Misamis Occidental. She is 47 years old and married, with four children. To make a living, Isidra owns and operates a business making and serving a variety of different meals. Isidra has been in business for 10 years and earns PHP 2,500 a month for these activities.
In 2011, Isidra joined GDMPC. She is requesting a loan of PHP 7,500, which will be used to purchase raw ingredients needed to make products for sale. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve the general living conditions of her family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
