Josephine is a 50-year-old widowed woman with two children. She lives in Clarin, Misamis Occidental. She owns and operates a retail business in her community to earn a living. She's been with her business for over five years and earns 5,000 Philippine pesos (PHP) every month.
Josephine joined GDPMC in the year 2010. She is requesting a loan of 10,000 PHP to purchase additional products to sell like shampoo, soap and canned goods. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve and expand her business.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
