The "Las Orquideas" group is made up of nine hard working women who are entering in their fourth loan cycle. The majority of them are neighbors. Betty is 47 years old and is a widow with five children, three of whom are in school.
Betty offers seamstress services and as a secondary activity weaves goods which she makes by order. These activities have allowed her to support her children's schooling. One of her goals is to see her children become professionals. With the purpose of continuing to support her children she is requesting the loan which she will use for school supplies. Betty is the third from the left dressed in the grey shirt and black pants. The "Las Orquideas" group is thankful for the loan provided because it makes it possible for them to move forward.
Buenas Tardes: El grupo “Las Orquideas” está conformada por 09 mujeres trabajadores, la cual pasan a su 4to ciclo, la gran mayoría vecinos de la zona. Betty de 47 años, es viuda con 05 hijos 03 de ellos en etapa escolar. Betty brinda servicio de costura, como actividad segundaria se dedica a la elaboración de tejidos la cual lo realiza a pedidos. Estas actividades le han permitido apoyar a sus hijos con sus estudios, pues unos de sus metas son de ver a sus hijos profesionales. Con el fin de seguir apoyando a sus hijos solicito el crédito ya que lo destinará para gastos de útiles escolares. Betty es la tercera del lado izquierdo viste polo plomo y pantalón negro. El grupo “Las Orquideas” agradecen el crédito brindado ya que hace posible su progreso.

This is a Group Loan
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
