Isaul

His crops have been well helped along thanks to various loans he’s invested in them. He’s currently requesting his 8th loan for 20,000 Lempiras. He will use this loan to pay for laborers for the sugarcane planting and to buy 20 quintals of manure for the coffee plants and basic grain crops like corn and beans. His goal is to attain two manzanas [Central American unit of land measurement] of sugarcane production to improve income and profits to pay for his children’s schooling and to do some home improvements.

Isaul, tiene 61 años de edad, es casado, tiene 7 hijos, vive en una aldea del municipio de Taulabe, Comayagua con su familia. Don Isaul tiene 15 años de dedicarse a la agricultura, tiene gran experiencia en la producción de café, caña de azúcar, maíz y frijoles. La producción de café es en pergamino y en uva. La producción la vende en el mercado local. Sus cultivos han sido bien asistidos mediante la inversión de varios préstamos. Actualmente solicita el octavo préstamo que es por 20,000 lempiras. Con este crédito va pagar personal para siembra de caña y compra de 20 quintales de abono para mantenimiento de la finca de café y granos básicos como maíz y frijoles. Su meta es lograr cultivar dos manzanas de caña de azúcar para obtener mejores ingresos y de las ganancias apoyar a sus hijos con la educación y mejorar su casa.
