Rosette is married and has four children, three of whom attend school. She does not take care of additional family members. She has a business selling charcoal. She has been in this business for seven years, selling to all categories of people on a retail basis. She has applied for a loan of 500,000 UGX from MCDT-SACCO to buy more bags of charcoal. She works in a shop that she rents seven days a week. Her major business challenges include transportation and seasonality. She aspires to become a wholesaler and also to buy a delivery van for easier transportation. She resides in a rented house; the family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses include rent, school fees, and food.
