Naisim, a 30-year-old citizen of Kampong Cham province, is a mother of one schoolboy. To tackle the daily cost of living, she farms rice crops and her husband makes concrete rings. The current business earns her about 30,000 KHR.
Naisim has just joined VisionFund this cycle. She is seeking 2,000,000 KHR in order to buy cement, sand, and gravel for supporting her husband's business. She hopes her husband can make more concrete rings so they can earn more profit to sustain their living.
About VisionFund Cambodia
VisionFund Cambodia is a Christian organization and microfinance institution that provides small loans and other financial services to improve the lives of children, empower poor women and their families, and grow successful businesses. The organization works primarily in rural parts of Cambodia and has distinguished itself by targeting the very poor who require smaller loan sizes, regardless of religious beliefs, gender or ethnic background.
Kiva lenders’ funds will help the organization to expand into the northeastern provinces of the country, which have historically been underserved and difficult to reach with financial services.
