Mwanamisi is 45 years old, married, and lives with her five children. She is very hard-working and is always setting a good example. She married Ali, who is a teacher at a nearby school. They live in Likoni, in her rental house. Their major monthly expenditure is the paying of school fees.
Mwanamisi owns a food cafe where she has been working for the last two years. She is approaching Yehu Microfinance Trust for a loan amounting to KES 20,000 to buy bundles of maize and wheat flour. She is grateful for the opportunity.

This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
