Mai was born in 1976. She has three children. Her son is a student in primary school. Her two daughters are students in secondary school. Her husband is a carpenter and earns about 8,000,000 VND per month. Hang is also a carpenter. Her income is about 7,000,000 VND. She has done this job for 15 years. Her family’s total earnings are about 15,000,000 VND per month.
She has participated in SEDA's credit program since 2008. In the last cycle she borrowed 9,632,000 VND and repaid the loan on time. In this loan cycle, she would like to borrow 10,080,000 VND to buy wood for her carpentry workshop. She wants to raise her children well.
