Edward is 60 years old, married and supports his four children aged between 16 and 10 years old. He is a farmer who is practicing both horticulture and dairy farming. He has been in this operation for 20 years, earning an income of 16,000 KES (Kenyan shillings).
Edward has borrowed a loan of 40,000 KES from KADET LTD, this being his second loan, and he intends to use this amount to purchase fertilizers and pesticides.
The profits he earns from the sale of his farm products will be used to buy one dairy cow and repay the loan. He hopes to improve his family's living standards.
