Suleiman is 28 years old and a married man with two children. He lives with his children and their mother whom he married twelve years ago in Msambweni, Kenya. Both his children, aged twelve and nine, are in school.
He is a very hard-working person and is always acts as a good example to many in his home town of Msambweni. He owns a grocery shop that he has been operating for the last year where he is selling watermelons, oranges, bananas, onions, tomatoes and potatoes. For the last three months his business has been growing rapidly and therefore to satisfy his customers, Suleiman has made a loan request amounting to ksh.30,000 so to expand his shop and stock it with enough potatoes, onions, tomatoes and buy watermelons as this in turn will help improve his income range.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
