This is a woman who has seen many triumphs and defeats but she keeps in mind her plan of improving her and her family's life. She lives with her family in an area of the country that has a lot of social violence. Every day she must fight so that she is not dragged down or affected by the difficult situation. The people at home are the reason she works hard, so she can give them what they deserve. This woman works selling fattened chickens in a place that is excellent for this kind of work. For some time now she has had people coming looking for her because of the quality of birds offered and for the good, personal service she gives to customers. She currently wants to improve her business and invest more money. For this, she is applying for a loan that will allow her to buy chickens in bulk and feed, etc. She is sure that with this help she will be able to provide her family with a better future and she trusts in God that she will soon be able to pay off this debt. She says thank you in advance for the help she will receive and she is satisfied that she is capable of doing whatever she puts her mind to.

More information about this loan

This loan is part of a pilot project Apoyo Integral is launching in conjunction with several local NGOs to support at-risk youth and their families with funding from Kiva. This loan product is tailored to young people who find themselves in high-risk situations because they are located in areas affected by extreme violence. Loans are combined with vocational, technical, and financial training to help these young people develop business ideas that will help them generate income, reintegrate into society, and support their dreams of being productive and contributing members of society.

Due to potential safety risks facing these youth, some of the loans are being disbursed to their parents in order to protect their identities. For the same reason, the faces of some Apoyo Integral borrowers may be blurred in photos. Apoyo Integral appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to provide much-needed support to at-risk Salvadoran youth.
