Alfred is a 35-year-old married man with four children living in Kagadi, Uganda. He runs a retail business which has been in operation for a period of two years. He does agriculture from which he earns income to supplement the income from the business he runs. He would like to complete the commercial building which he started and own a wholesale shop despite inadequate capital. John intends to use the loan to buy water, sugar and salt to sell.

This loan is part of HOFOKAM's program targeting poor and geographically excluded populations in Western Uganda. In addition to loans, it provides social and business training programs to low-income entrepreneurs and their communities.
