Juan Sixto
Sixto is 43 years old, but he has the joy and spirt of a young man of 20. He lives in the city of Camaná, which is characterized by its warm a welcoming climate. There is a lot of agriculture here, particularly the cultivation of rice, and we can also appreciate the varied food. In particular, one of the favorite dishes of the area is the delicious shrimp soup. Sixto learned to work when he was very young as his parents had few economic resources and, because of this, he was only able to study up to the 5th grade of secondary school.
Day in and day out, Sixto works as a motorcycle-taxi driver. Working hard at this job enables him to cover the household expenses. He works about 10 hours a day and may have 15 customers a day. He believes that he is doing well in his work because he is responsible and friendly to his customers.
Sixto is very grateful to the Kiva lenders as, thanks to the help they have offered, he will be able to buy construction materials such as cement, concrete, sand, and other things with which he will make improvements to his home such as repairing the walls, and improving the floors and plumbing. In this way, he will be able to have a better quality of life and continue fighting to achieve his greatest dream: to have a transportation business.

Sixto tiene 43 años de edad, pero tiene la alegría y el espíritu de un joven de 20 años, el vive en la ciudad de Camaná, la cual se caracteriza por tener un clima cálido y acogedor, asimismo se desarrolla la agricultura en especial el cultivo de arroz, y también podemos apreciar una gastronomía variada en especial uno de sus platillos favoritos es el riquísimo “Chupe de camarones”. Sixto aprendió a trabajar desde muy joven ya que sus padres tenían pocos recursos económicos y debido a ello solo pudo estudiar hasta el quinto grado de secundaria.

Día a día Sixto trabaja como chofer de mototaxi, con su trabajo puede solventar los gastos propios del hogar con mucho esfuerzo, el labora alrededor de 10 horas al día y puede atender hasta 15 cliente diariamente; él cree que está saliendo adelante con su trabajo porque es responsable y amable con los clientes.

Sixto está muy agradecido con los prestatarios Kiva ya que gracias a la ayuda que le han brindado el podrá comprar materiales de construcción como cemento, hormigón, arena, entre otros con lo cual podrá realizar mejoras en su vivienda como refacción de paredes, mejoramiento de pisos y tuberías, así podrá tener una mejor calidad de vida y seguir luchando para poder hacer realidad su más grande sueño:” Tener una empresa de transportes”.
