Aisha is a widow with two children. None of her children goes to school. She also takes care of additional family members.
Aisha has a business selling bananas, cassavas and sweet potatoes. She has applied for a loan of 1700000 Ugandan shillings from MCDTSACCO to buy more bunches of green bananas and bags of cassavas and sweet potatoes to sell. She also generates additional income through operating a restaurant.
Aisha works at the market seven days a week and has been in this business for 10 years. Her major business challenges include transportation and seasonality. She is aspiring of becoming a wholesaler and also to own a delivery van to ease in transportation.
Aisha resides in her own house and her family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses includes school fees for the grandchildren and paying for utility bills.
