Loida is 34 years old and married with four children. She lives in Ozamis City, Misamis Occidental. Loida owns and operates farmland, planting and harvesting vegetables for sale. She's been with her business over 4 years and earns 1,700 PHP each month. Loida joined GDPMC in 2011 and now she is requesting a loan of 5,000 PHP to purchase fertilizer such as manure. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve and expand her business.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
