Arlene is 30 years old, married, with three children. She lives in Clarin, Misamis Occidental.
She owns and manages a food stall business, serving local foods to customers in the community. She's been with her business over two years and earns PHP 14,000 each month. She joined Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) in 2011.
Arlene is requesting a loan of PHP 15,000 to purchase additional products to sell, like soft drinks, pork, chicken, and beef. She plans to use the additional revenue to improve the general living conditions of her family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
