A loan of $1,425 helped to buy school supplies.

Emna Del Rosario's story

Emna, 26, is from the Las Canoas district in the outskirts of Teustepe. She’s the mother of two children aged between 2 and 8. She’s a merchant and owns a general store. She started it two years go with a loan she got from financial institutions and with help from her husband who is also a merchant selling caps and eyeglasses from place to place. Both help each other out in the business. She needs to add more products to the inventory in order to increase sales and earn extra income.

The school term is approaching and demand for school supplies grows; they are highly sought-after by her customers which is why she needs financing now to buy school supplies like notebooks, pencils, erasers, rulers, etc. to increase income and earn higher profits. Her future plan is to repay the loan in order to then request another one. One of her goals is to improve the infrastructure of the site where her general store is located.
