Panha, a divorced mother of one daughter, is 32 years old and a local farmer who supports her daughter through growing cassava on one hectare. With 10 years’ experience in this business, she is able to earn up to 20,000 KHR per day.
Panha has never been with VisionFund before. Now, she is applying for her first loan in the amount of 2,000,000 KHR in order to lease an additional plot of farmland to grow cassava and to buy potash plus insecticide. She hopes to earn triple the income from her current business so as to keep her child in school until tertiary level.
