Bernice Group
In this Group: Bernice, Adjetey, Eva, Diana, Georgina, Doris
This is a group of six members who sell second-hand clothes, rice, sandals, toothpaste and brushes, and provisions. The group includes Bernice, Adjetey, Eva, Diana, Georgina, and Doris. Their ages range from 30 to 56 years.

Bernice is the leader of the group and she is a 30-year-old married woman with two children. Her husband, Samuel, is a 31-year-old businessman who always tries to support Bernice in her business. Bernice has been selling second-hand clothing since her first loan cycle and is still doing this business. She is now on her 5th loan cycle with ID-Ghana and is requesting 1,000 GHC to buy more ladies' tops and jeans.

Bernice was given 800 GHC in her 4th loan cycle and completed repayment without trouble. She has also been able to save enough with ID-Ghana.

Bernice, together with her friends, needs a total amount of 3,300 GHC to buy enough items to sell to customers.

About ID Ghana

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
