Fariha is a 41-year-old Lebanese married woman. She’s living with her husband in their modest house located in one of the beautiful Lebanese villages. Cooperating together, Fariha and her husband have been able to satisfy their needs and live a good life.
Fariha owns a small mini-market where she sells all kinds of dairy and daily products in addition to soft drinks and many other products. As for her husband, he has been working as a painter since 2010.
Fariha realized that she needs a fair amount of money to improve her business. That’s why she’s asking today for a loan from Kiva Partner Vitas s.a.l. to purchase the needed quantity of food provisions for her mini-market. In that way, she will be able to diversify her items and therefore increase her revenues and improve her way of living.
Fariha looks forward to expanding her grocery, waiting the perfect time to open other branches and assign people to work with her.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
