Lyzel is 38 years old and married with seven children. She lives in Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur. She owns and operates a farm, planting and harvesting rice to sell to earn a living. She's been five years in this business. Each month, she earns 13,500 Philippines pesos (PHP) doing this type of business.
Lyzel requested a loan of 15,000 PHP to purchase fertilizer such as manure. In 2010, Lyzel became a new member of GDMPC. In the future, Lyzel wants to make improvements to her house and to finish the studies of her children.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
