Mkambe, from Msambweni, Kenya, is 40 years old and married. She lives with her husband and three children. She owns a general kiosk where she buys goods in wholesale prices and resells them to her customers in retail.
She has been doing this for the last 15 years, and she has been able to gain a wide range of customers.
She has applied for a loan amounting to KES 30000 so that she will be able to expand her business and restock her kiosk.

This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
