Fatuma is from Tirebe in Mombasa, Kenya's coastal region. She is 31 years of age and married wth three children, two of whom are still in school.
She is the owner of a shop where she has been working for two years. She says that she's making headway with the business because she has been able to attract a good number of customers due to the fact that she always has a very well-stocked shop. She is a very enthusiastic person who wants to keep growing and investing in her business so that she can help with the household expenses.
Fatuma is asking for a loan amounting to KSH 30,000 to expand her business and invest in drinks, dairy products, bread, vegetables, and other products. This way, she can continue to provide her customers with a good variety of products and also attract new customers. She is grateful for this opportunity.

This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
