Fatuma, age 44, is a merchant who sells clothes. She is single, lives in Tiribe, Mombasa, Kenya. She began selling in the marketplace thanks to financial assistance from her parents, who are also merchants. Gradually she was able to expand her business and now she offers her products throughout the district. She is requesting assistance of a loan amounting to ksh.50,000 so that she can buy articles of clothing that are in season.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
