Nexar is 26 years old, single, and lives with his children in the canton of Ventanas in Los Ríos Province.

The members of the January 28th Communal Bank meet in the neighborhood of El Retorno Puerto Pechiche, which is part of the canton of Pueblo Viejo. This Communal Bank consists of short-cycle crop farmers who also raise animals.

Nexar is a farmer who grows corn and rice and started raising chickens and pigs a year and a half ago. He buys his supplies at a shopping center in Puerto Pechiche and sells his products in Ventanas.

Nexar is requesting a loan to buy supplies, compost, and fertilizers for his crops and balanced feed for his chickens and pigs. With the financial support of this loan, he will be able to acquire what he needs. Among the challenges he faces are crop pests and diseases. His goal is to buy crop machinery.

Nexar se dedica a la agricultura a la siembra de maíz y arroz y a al crianza de pollos y cerdos tareas que esta empezando desde hace un año y medio . Compra sus productos en un Comercial en Puerto Pechiche y las Vende en Ventanas.

Solicita el crédito para la compra de insumos, abono y fertilizantes para los cultivos y alimentacion balanceado para los pollos y cerdos. Con el apoyo del crédito le ayudaría económicamente para suplir sus necesidades. Enfrentar desafíos como las plagas y enfermedades. Su sueño es comprar maquinaria para el cultivo.

This loan is administered by Cooperativa San Jose, a 45,000-member credit union located high in the Andes Mountains of Ecuador’s poorest province, Bolivar. Concurrent and Successive Loans

Our Field Partners often work with borrowers over a series of loans as the borrowers build credit, take out bigger loans, and expand their businesses. In order to make it easier for our Field Partners to post loans for borrowers who have been listed on Kiva before, we allow them to post successive and concurrent loans for their Kiva borrowers. This means that our Field Partners are able to post a borrower's second, third, etc., loan on Kiva without having to re-enter all of the borrower's information.

Most borrowers take out loans consecutively, meaning that they receive a second loan after having repaid the first. However, sometimes our Field Partners give out concurrent loans, allowing borrowers to take out one primary loan and a secondary "add-on" loan along with it. These "add-on" loans are typically smaller than the borrower's primary loan and serve a different purpose. Because Field Partners can now post loans as successive and concurrent loans, you will be able to track borrower progress over time and see the various ways a borrower is working with our Field Partners through funds from Kiva’s lenders.
