Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 27-year-old Umu from Calaba town. She is married with one child, aged 7 years. Her child is attending school.
Umu runs a general store; she sells pure water, soft drinks, milk, cigarettes and toothpaste. She has been running this business for 10 years. She works at the business every day, from morning to night. She supplements her business with tailoring. She says that the main challenge to her business is price inflation.
Umu has requested a loan in order to buy more pure water, soft drink, milk, and cigarette and toothpaste. The extra income from this loan will allow her to improve her standard of living and educate her child. In the future, she plans to own a supermarket. She thanks you for your support!
