Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 37-year-old Idrissa from Calabatown eastern area in Freetown. He is married with three children between the ages of 5 months and 7 years. Two of his children are currently going to school. He began this business because it has a quick turnover.
Idrissa runs a building materials shop; he sells zinc sheets, iron rods, doors and paint brushes, etc. He has been running this business for eight years. He works at the business from 8:00 am until 8:00 pm, 7 days per week. His other source of income comes from renting out a house. Idrissa says that the main challenge to his business is high rate of theft within the community.
Idrissa has requested a loan in order to buy more building materials like zinc sheets, iron rods, doors and paint brushes. The extra income from this loan will allow him to open a savings account and expand his business. In the future, he hopes to open a building materials factory. He thanks you for your support!
