Fatuma is married and is 30 years old. She didn't have the opportunity to proceed with her studies after primary level due to lack of school fees. She has three children who are in school. Fatuma's work is making and selling dumplings. She began this business after saving a small amount through a merry-go-round business, and up to now she has had six years of experience.
She decided to apply for a loan that will allow her to buy ingredients for making dumplings: wheat flour, cooking oil, and baking powder. In the future she wants to have a hotel.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
