Markdonald is a resident of Kashaka village, in Mbarara district. He grew up as an orphan but was very hard-working. Because of this, he managed to start up a business of cattle trading, with a little bit of capital that he got from his uncle. He grew the business and became able to acquire land, which he is using for banana farming. He has also managed to find a wife, and they are working together for the survival of their family.

Markdonald has applied for a loan of 3,000,000 UGX, to increase his working capital. He will use the capital to buy more cattle, and manure for fertilizing the banana plants.

In the photograph are Markdonald and his wife.
