Faby lives in Darbouze, Haiti in an area with erratic access to electricity. He already has a small boutique that sells motorcycle parts but is looking to expand his business by becoming an EarthSpark clean energy entrepreneur. He is seeking a loan of so that he can be set up with an EarthSpark “Business in a Bag” a kit containing a personalized mix of small-scale clean energy products, marketing materials and training on energy literacy, SMS tracking of sales, and basic business skills. He would like to sell solar desk lamps as well as the Recho Gaz Blan and the Recho Mirak cookstoves. The Recho Gaz Blan is a kerosene cookstove and the Recho Mirak is a charcoal-efficient cookstove, both of which help the environment by reducing the need for charcoal. He wants to sell EarthSpark products because he appreciates the products and the initiative as a whole. He would like to improve access to EarthSpark products and help light up his community.

EarthSpark has also built and is expanding Haiti's first pre-pay microgrid which delivers electricity to homes and businesses via poles and wires at a village scale.
