Mwanakombo, 32 years old, is married and has four children. She lives with her family in a house she’s rented for several years. Mwanakombo has a small store, selling basic staple goods and snacks, among others. She also provides milling services and sells beauty products. Mwanakombo is a very hardworking woman who does various things to have a stable life.
Mwanakombo is asking Yehu for a loan to buy larger amounts of products for her store to stock it with everything necessary. She will also buy cosmetics and other beauty products to subsequently sell from place to place. In this way, she hopes to improve her profits.

This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
