Angie lives in Oroquieta, Misamis Occidental. She earns a living through providing transportation services. She has been doing this for three years so as to support the needs of her three children. She gets an income of PHP 10,500 a month from this business.
For a 29-year-old mother, there’s nothing more that can make her happy except to see her children successful in their studies. Without hesitation, Angie is borrowing an amount of PHP 15,000 from GDMPC Microcredit to repair her transport vehicle used in her business, and provide her children a better education.
Angie joined GDMPC in 2012. Her plan for the future is to hopefully improve her business.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
