Mejumaa, age 35, is a merchant who prepares and sells foods and beverages in a food stall. She is the mother of two children and is originally from the town of Likoni. She has been working for three years in this line of work. She has the support of her cousin. Her expectations include being able to grow her business.
Mejumaa is in need of a loan, so that she can buy the supplies that she needs, such as firewood, tomatoes, onions, flour, cooking oil, and other items. Her future plans include having a stable and profitable business with very good customers.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
