Rose is married with four children and all her children go to school. She doesn’t take care of any additional family. She has a business selling used shoes and has been in this business for 11 years. She has applied for a loan of 300000 Ugandan shillings from MCDT-SACCO to buy more bales of used shoes. She works six days out of every week and sells wholesale only. She generates additional income from rental rooms. Her major business challenges include seasonality and thieves. She aspires to become a wholesaler and also to start importing used shoes. She resides in her own house and the family has access to electricity and to piped water. Her monthly expenses include school fees and feeding the family.
