Saumu, age 31, lives with her family; her husband and three children. She operates a food stall located in one of the busy markets in the town.
Saumu wants to buy ingredients like flour, oils, basic grains, vegetables, sugar, and tea leaves. For this reason, she is asking for a loan from Yehu Microfinance Trust. Her dream is to own a restaurant in the future.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
