Mesaid and her husband live in a suburb of Tiribe in the coastal region of Kenya. They have two young children. Her husband is a police officer. Together they provide for their children.
Mesaid operates a food stall, a business which she has run for the last two years. She hopes to expand her business by buying more ingredients such as wheat flour, vegetables, rice, beans, sugar, oils, etc. Hence she is applying for a loan of KES 50,000 to help her.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
