Marilyn is 48 years old and married. She lives in Tangub City, Misamis Occidental.
She plants and harvests coconut and bananas for sale to earn living. She's been her business for more than five years and she earns every month 2,000 PHP.
Marilyn joined GDMPC in 2008, and now she is requesting a loan of 3,500 PHP to purchase fertilizers such as manure. She wants to make improvements to her living situation and also the education of her children.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
