Irene is married with two children who both go to school. She also takes care of additional family members (sisters). She has operated a beauty salon business business for four years. She has applied for a loan of 700000 Uganda shillings from MCDT-SACCO to buy more hair relaxers and boxes of hair oil. She works from home seven days a week and sells on retail basis only. Her major business challenges include transportation and the ever-increasing prices of cosmetics in Uganda. She is aspiring to own a fully stocked beauty salon and also to buy a plot of land so that she can build her own house.
