Selly is 45 years old, married, and supports four members of her family. Her children are aged between 25 and 18 years. Her spouse is Philip, a farmer. She owns a food stall and has been in operation for a period of six years, earning a monthly income of KES 31,000.
She is taking her second loan, in the amount of KES 60,000, after having repaid the previous one successfully. She intends to use this amount to purchase sugar, wheat flour, maize flour, cooking fat, tea leaves and salt for her business.
The profits she earns will be used to plow back into the business and to educate her children. She hopes to improve the living standard of her family.
