Husnoro and her family live in a mountainous area, where electricity is only available a few hours per day. It also happens that, sometimes, there is no electricity at all.

Husnoro and her husband are involved in fattening up livestock. They keep their animals at home, fatten them up and then resell them for a profit.

Husnoro recently learned from her neighbors about the possibility of getting a green loan from Kiva in order to purchase a special equipment to conserve heat and prepare food.

Until now, she had always used an old traditional stove, which was constantly in need of repair. However, she now has the opportunity to buy an energy-efficient stove which will allow her to cook, bake pies, and heat her house at the same time, providing warmth and comfort.

Husnoro and her family are very thankful to Kiva for helping them realize this project.
