Shirley is happily married with two children. Her two children are married with their own families. For 23 years, Shirley has been raising different kinds of vegetables. Meanwhile, she raises eggplant, okra and string beans. In backyard gardening, it's necessary to have good soil, proper application of fertilizer and pesticides, and proper application of water to the plants. Shirley would like to maintain good production of her vegetables, so she is requesting an additional PHP 15,000 to allow her to buy necessary fertilizer and pesticides for the good nutrition of her vegetable crop. She knows that this amount will enable her to obtain better income and make her business more productive.
