Nestani, age 45, is engaged in a family farm business. She lives with her husband, her parents-in-law (who are provided with a retirement pension) and her two children in Telavi District. Nestani’s husband works as a builder and provides his services to locals, transporting his materials with his own car. Their young son is a student and the daughter works as an accountant at the construction company.
With a small dairy farm consisting of a milk cow, Nestani produces and sells cheese every month to local dairy product retailers. The family also has a vineyard, producing wine that Nestani sells in the village.
Nestani is requesting a loan in order to purchase an additional vineyard. After properly completing their current agricultural efforts, the family will start to plant and harvest grapes on the new land. Nestani’s husband will be able to produce more wine and thereby increase the family's income from new wine sales.
The family will use their increased income to improve their living conditions.
