Lebert, 22 years old, is a single entrepreneur from Bayabas, Aurora. He is earning from his transport service business. It started almost two years ago, and he earns 3,000 PHP (Philippines pesos) a month.
To improve business, he is borrowing the amount of 5,000 PHP from GDMPC Microcredit, which he just joined in 2012, to obtain accessories and tires. Before too long, he’s hopeful of the possibility of expanding his business.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
