Swaburah lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is married with three children and all of them attend school. She is not looking after any other family members.
She has been selling secondhand and new shoes at retail in a shop for three years, working seven days a week. She also does some farming as an extra source of income.
She has requested a loan of UGX 400,000 from MCDT- SACCO to increase her stock of secondhand shoes to sell. Her challenges include seasonality and thieves. Her dream is to own a second shop. She joined MCDT because of the close services and convenience in becoming a member. She stays in her husband's house with access to electricity and no piped water. Her major monthly expenses include school fees.
