Madinalives in Kampala, Uganda. She is married with three children and two of them attend school. She is also looking after her sisters.
Madinalives has been selling second-hand shoes from door to door for one year at retail, working five days a week. She does not earn any additional income. She has requested for a loan of UGX 300,000 from MCDT- SACCO to enable her to purchase more shoes for resale. Her challenges include seasonality and transportation. Her dream is to be able to rent a place so that she can stop moving from door to door, and also to become a wholesaler. She joined MCDT in order to be able to buy a bale of shoes for sale. She stays in her husband's house and has access to electricity but no piped water. Her major monthly expenses are school fees and food.
