Sarah is married with five children and four of her children go to school. She also takes care of additional family members (grandchildren). She has a business selling charcoal and has been in this business for two years, selling to all categories of people but on retail. She has applied for a loan of 2,000,000 Uganda shillings from MCDT-SACCO to buy more bags of charcoal. She generates additional income through rental houses. She works at the market on a retail basis six days a week. Her major business challenges include transportation and thieves. She is aspiring of owning a delivery van for ease in transportation, becoming a wholesaler and also building more rental houses. She resides in her own house and the family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses includes school fees, medication and feeding the family.
