Lamzira is 44 years old, married, and has two sons. She lives in a small village of Senaki District. Lamzira’s younger son works at vulcanization and gets a small monthly salary. Lamzira and her husband are busy with agricultural activities. They have six milk cows; every day they produce cheese and curds and sell them at the local open market. They also have a plot of land where nuts and maize are grown. The family does all relevant agricultural work to ensure a good harvest. In addition they own a pig and sell piglets seasonally.
Lamzira is requesting a loan to purchase a truck. Her husband will be able to provide goods transportation services to local people. The family will earn additional income. They will also use the truck for transportation of their harvested produce. Using their own truck instead of a rented one will decrease transportation costs and increase their profit, which will be used to repair their house.
