Raul
Raúl is 26-year-old gentleman who is single and lives in the city of Chincha. He is a friendly, hardworking, and enthusiastic person who has the desire to succeed. Unfortunately, due to the lack of financial resources and the need to work in order cover his expenses, Raúl was not able to study for a professional degree in medicine as he would have liked. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer with his friends. On a few occasions, Raúl prepares a delicious dish of “carapulcra con sopa seca” (a spicy Peruvian stew served with dried potatoes) to share with his family.


Through his own initiative and with great effort and dedication, Raúl has worked in his own small business of selling tubers. He has a vending stall at the market where he conducts his sales. Every day he begins his job in the early morning hours and is able to work approximately 10 hours. Raúl enjoys his work and believes he is doing well because he offers good prices and friendly service to his customers.


He is very grateful to the Kiva lenders. Thanks to the assistance they have provided, he will be able to buy a large quantity of tubers such as potatoes, sweet potatoes, cassava, and other items. As a result, Raúl will have a well-stocked business and be able to serve more customers. He continues to work and strive to get ahead so that he can achieve his greatest dream of becoming a major wholesaler.

Raúl es un hombre de 26 años, es soltero, vive en la ciudad de Chincha, el es una persona muy amable, trabajador y entusiasta, que tiene un gran deseo de superación; lamentablemente por falta de recursos económicos y por la necesidad de trabajar para solventar sus gastos, no ha podido estudiar la carrera profesional de Medicina Humana, pero le hubiera gustado mucho poder hacerlo, en sus ratos libres le gusta jugar futbol con sus amigos y en algunas ocasiones cocina una riquísima Carapulcra con Sopa Seca para compartir con su familia.
Por iniciativa propia, con mucho empeño y dedicación, Raúl trabaja en su pequeño negocio de venta de tubérculos, el cuenta con un puesto de ventas en un mercadillo donde realiza sus ventas, Raúl trabaja todos los días desde tempranas horas de la mañana y puede hacerlo por un aproximado de 10 horas, el se siente a gusto realizando su labor y cree que le va bien por los buenos precios y por el trato amable que brinda a sus clientes.
Raúl se encuentra muy agradecido con los prestatarios Kiva, ya que gracias a la ayuda brindada podrá realizar la compra de mayor cantidad de tubérculos, como papa, camote, yuca y otros, de esta manera Raúl tendrá su negocio mejor abastecido y podrá atender a mas clientes, así pues Raúl seguirá trabajando y esforzándose para salir adelante y lograr su gran sueño de convertirse en un gran mayorista.
