Zulaika is married with five children and all her children go to school. She doesn’t take care of any additional family members. She has a business selling charcoal and has been in this business for 10 years, selling to all categories of people, retail. She has applied for a loan of 1,700,000 Uganda shilling from MCDT SACCO to buy more bags of charcoal. She works seven days out of every week at the market. Her major business challenges include transportation of bags of charcoal and thieves.
Zulaika is aspiring of becoming of a wholesaler and also buying a delivery van to ease transportation. She resides in her own house and the family has access to piped water and electricity. Her major monthly expenses include school fees, paying utility bills, and feeding the family.
