Izo is from the Terjola district of West Georgia. She is 53 years old, a widow and lives with her daughter and son. Izo’s daughter works as a teacher at the local school and gets a monthly salary. Izo runs an agricultural business. In particular, she owns a calf and two milk cows, whose milk is used in dairy products. Izo produces cheese and sells it locally. Also, they have a vineyard and a plot of land, where nuts are grown. The family completes all relevant agricultural works to ensure a good harvest. Izo works hard, but she still doesn’t have enough income to build her savings and improve the living conditions of her family. She has requested a loan to renovate her house. Her existing house is old and damaged. Izo will purchase building materials and repair her home. Then, the living conditions of her family will be improved, and they will be able to spend their evenings after a hard working day in a more comfortable environment. Izo hopes for your help and kindness.
About LLC Micro Finance Organization Credo
LLC Credo (Credo) is a microfinance organization in Georgia that provides sustainable credit services to alleviate poverty in rural areas, including business loans, agriculture loans, household loans, crop insurance and more. Kiva lenders’ funds are used to help the organization expand its outreach to even more entrepreneurs, farmers and households in remote areas.
About Housing Loans
Many poor families cannot afford housing that meets their needs. When you make a housing loan on Kiva, you give people access to flexible capital to obtain or improve their homes. Better housing means better health, sanitation, and even educational outcomes for children. A house can also be much more for entrepreneurs who run businesses out of their homes. In this way, housing and small business loans on Kiva share a common purpose: to alleviate poverty and enable families to enjoy more stable lives.
